The Madill academic team defeated Fox and lost to the Lone Grove Longhorns on Monday. "Our (academic) team did well," coach Michelle Bray said of Monday's performance. "We have a lot of new members this year and I'm just excited about it." Academic meets consist of questions in a variety of subject areas being asked to a panel of players. Each member controls a buzzer. Each correct answer adds points to a team's running total. The team that accumulates the most points is declared the winner of the match. Madill travels to Turner next Monday for the next match. |
