Madill senior Padann Awalt was honored by her fellow classmates on Thursday morning with the Kerry White Friendship Award.

"We are here today to honor Padann Awalt," Cindy Dodds said during the classroom awards ceremony for the juniors and seniors Thursday morning in the Wildcat Den.

The selection for the award is based upon a vote by the graduating senior class each year at Madill High School.

"Thank you for this award," Awalt said.

The award was established in 1978 for the late Kerry White's MHS classmates for displaying genuine friendship. It has since been given annually to one senior student from Madill each year.
