Madill's Dakevis Jordan forced Dickson quarterback Cole King out of bounds just shy of the 37-yard line on a fourth-down play with 4:04 left in the game and the 'Cats took over possession of the ball with a 20-13 advantage in the fourth quarter Friday night on the road. Micah Cooper then punctuated the drive with a one-yard dive over the pile into the end zone with 2:06 remaining in the contest to essentially close the door on the Comets and pick up a key district 3A-4 win, 26-13. The Comets had a last chance drive ended with 59 seconds left with a fourth-down pass incomplete in the end zone. The Comets struck first Friday with a 28-yard TD pass with 2:56 to go in the opening frame. Madill answered at the 7:10 mark of the second period when Taber Bagley caught a 20-yard TD pass from Jonathan Laffita. Laffita scored a one-yard run with 5:48 remaining in the half to give Madill a 14-6 lead after Jesus Alvarez's kick. Dickson struck back on a 10-yard TD run by Cole King with 1:35 before intermission. The score stood 14-13 at halftime.
