Madill's senior linebacker Levi Holliday punctuated the 'Cats' 21-14 comeback victory on a fourth down play with a hit on Sulphur quarterback Ryan Rackley that caused a fumble and a turnover on downs in the fourth period in the waning moments of Thursday's contest at Alumni Field. The Wildcats melted the remaining time on offense and moved to a perfect 8-0 on the year. More importantly, Madill is 5-0 in District 3A-4 play and sits atop the league with two games to go in the regular season. Sulphur seized the momentum early in the game on a 50-yard touchdown pass to Hadyn Rogers from Rackley at the 9:44 mark of the opening quarter. Less than two minutes later, the Bulldogs scored again on an 89-yard run by Nate Johnson with 7:46 to go in the first. The Bulldogs had placed Madill in a 14-0 hole. However, the 'Cats continued to claw a way out of that hole. Senior tailback Luke Chapman plunged in from a yard out to get Madill on the board with 4:49 left in the second frame. Edgar Salinas' extra point pulled Madill within seven points at 14-7. The Wildcats trailed by the same margin at the intermission.
