Madill senior outfielder Hunter Chapa signed a letter of intent Tuesday to play baseball at Southwestern Christian University in Bethany.
"I finally get to live my dream of playing in college," Chapa said during his signing ceremony.
"(Hunter) Chapa deserves this (scholarship)," Madill baseball coach Randy Rushing said. "He is a hard worker."
He was joined in the signing ceremony by his family and friends in the Wildcat Fieldhouse. He was selected earlier this month for the Lake Country Conference team. Chapa delivered the winning hit in the deciding game of the district championship series against Lone Grove in April. The Wildcats finished the season with a 19-10 overall record.
