A simulated emergency reenactment of a catastrophic event helped prepare school staff and emergency response teams in the case of an actual event.
"Today the Madill emergency management program conducted an emergency drill at Madill High School so they could practice their emergency drill techniques if a real catastrophic situation really happened at Madill Public Schools," Madill testing coordinator Joanna Tuck said. "I am so impressed with our Madill emergency management team."
The police department, fire and rescue teams practiced responding to the school during the practice drill Thursday morning. The MHS speech and drama classes served as actors for the event.
Madill Schools has emergency policies in place and they just practiced the drill Thursday.
