Madill made a rush at the Lady Redskins in the bottom of the fifth inning to close within 7-6. However, Kingston pulled away for a 16-8 victory on the softball diamond on Tom Reynolds Field Monday night. Kayann Melton delivered a double to get things rolling in the Madill half of the fifth frame. Jaycee Wallace hit a single, Callie Gray came through with an RBI, Kortlyn Yow repeated the RBI as the next up, Bailey Gammill followed with an RBI as did senior Ali Selvy.
Kingston then responded with a two-out triple in front of an RBI hit in the top half of the sixth.
Madill visits Sulphur Tuesday (Sept. 15).
