Football Team Fills Scoreboard in First Half, Cruises to Victory over Bobcats Friday

Madill used the first half of Friday night's regular season opener to stretch its advantage on Bridge Creek and eventually cruised to a decisive 38-16 win over the Bobcats.
All the Wildcats' points came in the opening half. Senior quarterback Raygan Dodd scored on a four-yard run with 10:26 in the first and Dekevis Jordan tacked on the two-point try. JJ Sanders hauled in a Dodd pass at the 8:07 mark of the first stanza and scored on a 55-yard play. Dodd scored the second of his three TDs with 2:39 remaining in  the first quarter on a six-yard run. Madill led 22-0. Receiver Trevor Goff took in a 16-yard pass from Dodd with 11:21 to go in the second frame. Dodd capped the Madill scoring on  a 24-yard jaunt with 57 seconds left in the first half.
Easterwood of Bridge Creek ran a 59-yard scoring play and a one-yard TD for the Bobcats in the fourth period for the final tally.
Madill hosts Tishomingo Sept. 2 at Blake Smiley Stadium.
