Friday Proves Busy Time for Wildcats; Baseball Advances to LCC Tourney Consolation Final with Help from Elwood's Grand Slam; Clement Establishes New MHS Record for Boys Pole Vault Event

The Madill soccer teams suffered losses at Newcastle Friday night. The girls lost 1-0 and the boys lost, 2-1. The baseball team recorded two wins today during action in the Lake Country Conference tournament. The Wildcats have advanced into the consolation final at 10 a.m. on April 5 by virtue of the 7-5 win against Dickson this afternoon. The 'Cats claimed an 11-1 win over Marietta in an elimination game this morning. The win was highlighted by senior Trevor Elwood's grand slam.
Colton Clement established a new Madill school record for boys pole vault during the meet in Tishomingo today. He vaulted 14-0 to set the new mark.
