Josh Crowell scored twice and Costa Chambers scored once as Madill recorded an 18-0 blanking of Kingston in ninth grade football action Thursday night on Alumni Field. Crowell crashed into the end zone in the first half to give the Madill club a 6-0 advantage. Chambers broke around the left end and raced his way to pay dirt on a 73-yard touchdown run in the third frame to stretch the 'Cats' cushion to 12-0. Crowell's 10-yard run put the wraps on the victory with 6:48 left in the fourth period. Madill's defense was helped by interceptions recorded by Jared Williams, Ryan Ortloff and Trevor Goff. Tanner Edmonds picked up a fumble recovery in the game. |
