Madill senior Haley Furr signed a letter of intent Monday morning in the high school media center to play softball at Murray State College next year. Members of the media, Murray State coach Marie Stone, family and friends gathered for the ceremony.
"I love the campus, and I went and visited the team and I love the girls that are a part of the softball team and I love Coach Stone," Furr said."I'm going to become a physical therapist."
"Haley is an awesome individual and she has a great family. We're looking to bring in players that have an extremely high work ethic," Murray State softball coach Marie Stone said. "I just think she is going to be a great addition to our softball program."
According to Coach Stone, Furr will help fill a need for a middle infielder on the Lady Aggies' roster. Furr played shortstop as a senior for the Lady 'Cats' softball squad.
