Blake Gambel and Becca Pugh have just been selected as award recipients of the prestigious State Superintendent's Award for Arts Excellence in Speech/ Drama. The Oklahoma Alliance for Arts Education, the Oklahoma Masonic Fraternity, and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction have sponsored this annual event for many years. Students are recognized for achieving artistic and academic excellence and for exhibiting leadership in their community. Gambel and Pugh will be recognized with their fellow winners at the awards ceremony at the Scottish Rite Temple in Guthrie on April 23 at 7 p.m. "I'm so very proud of Blake and Becca. They have earned every accolade that they have received and I cannot imagine two more deserving individuals. Our speech program has grown, due in large part, to them. They will be greatly missed after they graduate in May. I wish them all the best and expect great things from them!" Lori Hartin said.
