Goff Named Co-Defensive Player of Year for Lake Country Conference Baseball Club; Two Other 'Cats Earn Spots on Squad for 2013

Madill senior pitcher Gage Goff was named co-defensive player of the year for the Lake Country Conference team for baseball in 2013. Senior outfielder Hunter Ch
and junior infielder Samuel Bond were named to the LCC team, as well.
Goff pitched a 2-0 shut-out win over Kingston in the only meeting between the Marshall County schools this baseball season. The Redskins are now in the Class 3A state tournament. Bond pitched in a 3-1 win over Plainview earlier this season. The Indians have advanced to the Class 4A state tournament. Chapa knocked in the winning run in the deciding game of the district championship series against Lone Grove.
