The Madill football season will begin this week with the checking out of sports equipment at 6 each night. The seniors will receive equipment on Aug. 4 (Monday). The junior class receives equipment on Aug. 5. The sophomore class gathers to get equipment Aug. 6. The incoming freshmen get equipment Aug. 7 and the junior high players receive their equipment on Aug. 8. A football parent meeting starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the high school media center. Practice officially begins Aug. 11. Madill senior Colton Clement has been selected to the Pre-Season Class 3A All-Vype Team. Vype is a magazine covering prep sports in Oklahoma.
