The Madill Lady Wildcats softball team bounced back from a loss to the Sulphur Lady Bulldogs Saturday morning to earn a return battle with the Bulldogs in the championship series of the Tishomingo tournament. The Madill club defeated Lexington 8-5 earlier in the afternoon in the consolation bracket. Macy Shirley picked up the pitching win and senior Madi Cook caught a line drive to second base to save two runs from scoring and later closed the door with a final out on a line shot to second. Madill takes home the runners-up plaque after falling to Sulphur a second time on this Saturday. Madill hosts Plainview on Monday (Aug. 24).
