Kaitlyn Jones' layup off of a steal with two seconds left wrapped a come-from-behind 42-37 victory for the Madill Lady Wildcats basketball team over Little Axe in the seventh place game this morning in the Byng tournament. Elizabeth Schulke scored two of her team-leading 14 points with 2:58 remaining in the fourth quarter to grab a 35-34 lead over the Lady Indians. Madill then put together a 7-3 run in the balance of the contest to seal the win. The run included a Schulke basket with 45 seconds to go, a pair of free throws from freshman Rylee Ruff with 11.6 seconds and then the takeaway and layup by Jones. The Lady Wildcats trailed 11-6 after the first period. Little Axe owned a 24-16 cushion of the halftime break. Madill faced a 29-23 deficit by the end of the third frame. Senior guard Mikah Hartsfield had six points, Madi Cook finished with four points and Macayla Moore chipped in two points.
