Madill's Becca Pugh finished fourth in the monologue division of the state speech competition Saturday in Norman. Roxy Avila was sixth in prose at state.
"It's been a great year," Madill speech instructor Lori Hartin said. "Audiences will be able to see these award-winning performances and more at our second annual speech showcase."
The dates of those performances are May 6-7.
Hartin was recently nominated by her peers as the teacher of the year at Madill High School. She is a candidate for the district-wide teacher of the year to be decided later this year. Joanna Tuck is also a speech instructor at MHS.
