Speech Team Wraps up Third Place Tie in Sweepstakes at Muldrow Regional Saturday; Six 'Cats Going to State at OU in April

"Amazing!," Madill speech sponsor-instructor Lori Hartin said of the team's performance Saturday (March 28) in the regional competition at Muldrow.
The team earned a tie for third place overall in sweepstakes. Six Madill students have punched a ticket for the state competition to be held April 10-11 at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Those going to state are as follows: Roxy Avila, Logan Bennett, Jeremy Crowley, Becca Pugh, Joseph Tuck and Dallas Wills.
Avila won the regional championship in prose. She and Wills teamed to win the dramatic duet category. Bennett and Crowley joined together to claim fourth with their dramatic duet. Tuck finished fourth in prose. Pugh was fifth in the monologue division.
Hartin and Joanna Tuck are speech instructors at Madill High School.
